What a piece of junk.....

We have owned this junk heap for just over 3 1/2 years. In that time I have had to replace the motor/pump assembly, tray wheels, and door seals. The leaking door seals ending up making it rain in our basement. Since I have some mechanical abilities and the proper tools, my repair costs were just parts. If I couldn't repair it myself, I am sure the repair bills would have easily been more than what the machine cost. As for cleaning: I had to clean out the filter and traps every third wash. And no, we scrap every dish that went into it before washing. Usually, 2-3 items had to be hand washed or ran through a second wash to clean them. The soap dispenser door never seemed to work right. The inside of the washer was constantly dirty. It couldn't even keep itself clean. The machine also never completely drained. There were always about 2 cups of dirty water in the bottom of it. And it stank if we din't open the door to let it air out. What finally made me get rid of it is that it started leaking water again and I was through dealing with it. Good riddance.

Great dishwasher for 3 years but kept getting worse and worse cleaning the dishes. Now we have a large paperweight that will cost $400 to fix out of warranty. Does not make sense to dump knowin that in 3 years we will have to dump another $400 or more.

Great features but unit is not built to last

I bought this dishwasher 4 years ago and am very happy with how well it cleans and how quiet it is while in operation. Recently we began to notice a small puddle of water coming from beneath while it is running. It is a small drip and isn't related to the water supply hoses. The repair Tech replaced the part where the problem was happening and it still drips in that same spot. Since they were unable to fix the leak, I was not charged for the new part which would've been $200. Although it still operates just fine, a water leak isn't acceptable. I will be shopping for a replacement. It will not be a Whirlpool unit.

Bad Unit Same problems as other reviews.

We bought our Gold Series WDT910SSYW2 fiv3 years ago. Living remote from city services we thought this was a good choice as a service person here is $300 for one call. We have had issues with the top rack and found the changeup parts. Now it stops in the middle of cycles intermittently and will not completely fill with water. I checked to ensure all wiring connections were in place, removed and reinstalled the inlet valve and insured it was clean, run a recommended cleaner package through twice and insured the door latch clip was in place. I have searched the internet for codes access specifically for this model unsuccessfully and there are none.
